Tonight's game night at the World Cup is pure knockout football: three Round of 32 matches with no draws allowed. The main storyline is USA vs Bosnia and Herzegovina deep into the night in Santa Clara, where the tournament hosts will attempt for the first time in their history to beat a European side in a knockout match. But first — England in Atlanta and Belgium in Seattle. Plan your evening with the WC 2026 match schedule in Kyiv time.
Today's Schedule
- 19:00 Kyiv time. England vs DR Congo (Round of 32, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta)
- 23:00 Kyiv time. Belgium vs Senegal (Round of 32, Lumen Field, Seattle)
- 03:00 Kyiv time (July 2). USA vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (Round of 32, Levi's Stadium, Santa Clara)
19:00 Kyiv Time. England vs DR Congo
England takes the field in Atlanta with a clear objective: advance and avoid a repeat of their group-stage struggles. Thomas Tuchel needs Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane to click in attack — something the Three Lions sorely lacked in the group stage. DR Congo have been one of the tournament's surprises: the team is not afraid to sit deep defensively and launch dangerous counter-attacks, well aware of England's vulnerability on transitions. The winner will face the winner of the Mexico/Ecuador tie in the Round of 16.
23:00 Kyiv Time. Belgium vs Senegal
Belgium finished the group stage with three wins and topped their group, but Senegal are no easy opponents: the Africans finished second in their group after a stunning win over Norway. This is a clash between two sides that know how to play organised football and are in no hurry to open up. The winner in the Round of 16 will face whoever comes through the USA vs Bosnia tie.
03:00 Kyiv Time (July 2). USA vs Bosnia and Herzegovina — Match of the Night
This is the headline fixture of the day — and the most story-laden one. The USA convincingly won Group D, but in knockout rounds against European opponents, the Americans have a catastrophic record: zero wins in 13 matches against European sides since 1990. Bosnia and Herzegovina — ranked 61st by FIFA — are in the knockout stage for the first time since 2014 and already consider that an achievement, but they have no intention of stopping there. Legend Edin Džeko (40 years old, 73 international goals) has yet to score at this tournament — and this night could be his last chance. For the USA, Pulisic, McKennie, and Tillman are expected to start; Roldan (muscle), McKenzie (foot), and Trusty (ankle) are doubts. The winner in the Round of 16 will play Belgium or Senegal.
Reminder: there are no draws in the knockout rounds — if the score is level after 90 minutes, the match goes to extra time and a penalty shootout. See how that played out in practice during the Round of 16 night.
Recaps of all three matches will be in the morning digest on Nightly Mundial. If you can't watch live — the morning digest format is already familiar.
